Guidelines for the development and formulation of European short qualifications based on learning outcomes
Detailed national qualification descriptions are developed according to national criteria and priorities and may include many specific learning outcomes. Short and synthesized (summarized) descriptions, developed on the basis of detailed national descriptions, but not replacing them, have many advantages as they can be easily accessible and become the primary source of information on specific qualifications for learners or employers seeking this information. They are easier to translate and also allow for a quicker overview of the content and profile of a qualification.
